Sarah Cook Sarah Cook, CEO of debuting company Raising Biz Kids knows first-hand what it is like to grown up in an entrepreneurial home and the benefits that it can bring to kids. Sarah’s father owned his own successful computer programming business as did her grandfather. Their example left a huge impact on Sarah who received her BA in Family Studies from Utah State University and has owned her own national-wide direct sales business for nearly 16 years. In the last three years Sarah has worked diligently with her own three children to help bring their business ideas to life. Now she wants to share what she has learned with Biz Kids and their parents from around the world.

Sarah believes that when kids develop their own businesses they gain real life skills that can only be gained by “doing”. These LIFE skills include business management, finances, service, public speaking, problem solving, and so much more. Biz Kids are often unique in their abilities and parents need to know how to lead them, love them and then get out of the way as they run their own race to make their dreams come true and break their own belief barriers.

Sarah’s son Jacob came to her and her husband Jerry when he was just 8 years old wanting to know if he could sell things on e-Bay. Not knowing anything about e-Bay, they both said “no” thinking it would be “dangerous” or something. Sarah’s says, looking back that was one of the worst decisions I think we made. We squashed his dream and made him wait two years before he could sell on e-Bay. When he finally did he did start, he did really well but he lost a lot of time in those two years all because we were scared. I promised myself when he was ten, that I would find out everything I could about supporting him as well as my other kids in having their own businesses. Jacob is now 13 and fixes and debugs computers in person as well as virtually. His most remote client lives in Australia. He has his own tutorial site where he creates tech tutorials on demand.
